Pickleball, the sport sweeping America’s retirement villages, has reinvigorated the Nezperce tennis courts.

Groups of pickleball players are regularly seen enjoying the warm weather at the courts on the corner of Oak Street and Sixth Avenue.

A few spots on the concrete, however, need a redo.

Donations to help improve the pickleball courts are still being accepted. You can drop off or mail checks - made out to Nezperce Prairie Days noting it’s for the pickleball courts - to the City of Nezperce, 606 Maple St. or PO Box 367, Nezperce, ID 83543.

Pickleball is the new sport taking over the Nezperce tennis courts.

Nezperce's new pickleball courts are a lively place on a warm summer evening.
