Idaho's Liberty Bell to visit Nezperce Sept. 29

Idaho’s Liberty Bell will be in Nezperce at the school parking lot in the afternoon (exact time not yet known) of Sept. 29! Please be sure to park in marked parking spaces in the school parking lot or along the roads around the school. Do not block the bus lane as the bell will be displayed there. The City will be providing water, juice and snacks.

The bell is visiting all 44 counties as part of the celebration of America 250.

The recently refurbished reproduction of the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia was first placed at the Idaho State Capitol in the 1950s.

State Treasurer Julie Ellsworth sent the bell on the tour, which started in August. Ellsworth, a former teacher, also created dolls that represent the country’s founders. The dolls have also been touring the state.
